Join the culinary team at Majestic Inn Bistro, a staple of the Anacotes, WA community, and deliver an excellent product to hotel guests. As a Chef, you will craft exquisite dishes that delight our guests and elevate their dining experience. Teach and develop the line cooks, and establish a team of both breakfast and dinner cooks that meet the needs of the hotel.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute innovative seasonal menus that reflect local ingredients.
- Oversee kitchen operations to ensure high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Manage inventory and ordering of supplies to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food preparation and storage.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Monitor kitchen performance and implement necessary improvements.
- Stay updated with culinary trends to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef in an upscale restaurant setting.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional cooking experience.
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
- Passion for culinary excellence and guest satisfaction.
- Current food handler's permit and knowledge of food safety regulations.
- Creativity and a keen eye for detail in food presentation.
